Owen L. Crouch enrolled as a freshman
in the University of Kentucky in February of 1929. He remained only
through the spring semester before enrolling in Cincinnati Bible
Seminary, from which he graduated with the A.B. and M.A. degrees after
six years. He received an A.B. from Transylvania, a liberal arts
college in Lexington, Kentucky.
From 1939–1947 he matriculated at the Southern Baptist
Theological Seminary, earning a Master of Theology degree followed by
a Doctorate with a major in Greek and minors in archaeology and
missions.
His teaching experience includes four years at Lincoln Christian
College in Lincoln, Ill., 18 years at Milligan College in Northeast
Tennessee, three years at Winston-Salem Bible College in North
Carolina, and three years at Indiana Christian University in
Indianapolis. While teaching at each of these schools, he commuted to
serve as minister/teacher for Christian Churches within reach of his
home.
While at Milligan College, he inaugurated his program of
diagramming in second-year Greek classes. From that has grown the
present series of books designed for busy preachers to keep them alert
and informed with practical helps in preaching and teaching the Word
of God.
Dr. Crouch passed away in August 2000.
